The most glamorous of careers often hide the most piteous stories underneath. Lolo Jones, who took home the USA and World Champion in the event of a hurdle in 2013, only been able to achieve this level through a great deal of perseverance and effort. Jones, who was born to a single mother with five children who lived in conditions of hardship and poverty when she was a kid, endured an extremely challenging childhood. She grew up with her mother in the basement of a local church. Jones was required to relocate to another school every year up until her high school years due to her nomadic nature. Jones moved away from her mom to Theodore Roosevelt in order for she to pursue the track she was interested in. Jones resided in four residences during her high school time to pursue her education in one place. Jones, a cellist in the school's orchestra and winner of Gatorade Iowa track and field athlete of the year award was awarded the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award towards the end of the high school year. Jones was among the most skilled hurdlers when she first entered college. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championship in the hurdles 100 meters. Also, she was among those on the second team in the 100-meter relay event. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles contest in the years 2003 and in 2004. Jones' career began with the year 2005, after she finished her master's degree. She started training to pursue a track career that would be successful. She was a winner in at least races, including the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track Championships this same year.
Growing up at home in Cape Town South Africa Brandt relocated with her family Auckland New Zealand in her early teens. Brandt, discovered by local casting agents got the lead role as Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Her performance was a hit with the audiences as well as production team members Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a cult DC/Vertigo comics character and she portrayed her in the Netflix hit series Lucifer for a period of six years. Forbes has ranked Lucifer as the top binge show for 2021. Brandt is set to appear in the role of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in the limited edition of 6 episodes Walking Dead spin-off which airs in 2024. The July 2023 episode of the Netflix adult animated comedy Captain Fall, Brandt stars alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni. Lesley-Ann Brandt, a South African actress, born in Cape town on the 2nd December 1981. She is quite a talented New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. In Auckland she was employed as a salesperson, and then become a manager of IT consultant. After several modeling assignments, Lesley appeared in countless commercials. She earned her degree with a specialization in acting in the year 2008. She graduated in 2009. continued her studies using the Meisner approach to study. Lesley's very first prominent acting work was with the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt has shown up on an episode of the New Zealand TV drama series Shortland Street with a support role. Later, she appeared on This Is Not My Life in a film based on the fictional town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was later reprised as the character in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
